Message from the Chairs of the International Programme Committee

It is our pleasure to welcome you to the Open Conference on Computers in Education (OCCE) 2020 in Mumbai, India. On behalf of the International Programme Committee and the Local Organising Committee, we thank you for joining us at this conference.

The conference theme Empowering Teaching for Digital Equity and Agency reflects the commitment to and current interests in research and practice in learning and technology that members of the Technical Committee 3 (TC3) and its working groups of the International Federation for Information Processing IFIP have fostered over many years, and continue to nurture today.

We are delighted that the conference will be hosted and supported by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and the India Didactics Association (IDA). With their focused interests in this field, their breadths of expertise and experience, and through their dedication to teacher support, we are indeed fortunate that they will be involved throughout the conference.

This conference will be of particular interest to teachers, researchers, PhD candidates, policy makers and ICT professionals interested in education, who can collaborate and discuss the impact of digital technologies on the whole educational environment.

We invite you to take an active role and be part of this dynamic international community, where sharing of your knowledge will contribute to the continual development of practices, policy and improvement of student learning outcomes.

We look forward to welcoming you in Mumbai, India. We sincerely hope you will join us, to make OCCE 2020 a memorable event!
